Saint James School prides itself on following the Catholic tradition in education excellence. Based in a Christian atmosphere, your child will experience positive growth academically, spiritually, morally, and socially. Religion is a fundamental component of their education, but being Catholic is not a prerequisite. Our prerequisites are to have both a willingness to learn and a positive attitude. Students of many different religious denominations make Saint James their school, and their exposure to the Catholic faith adds to their life experiences.

With so many new and noteworthy events it's easy to miss something so we recommend that you bookmark this page or check in frequently to stay on top of current and upcoming events. Click on the blue text for more information on the event. There are a couple of good sources for events at Saint James, one is the newsletter for the current month linked below, the other is our online calendar.

A note from our School Nurse:

Dear Parents/Guardians of St. James School (Pre-K, K-8 ),

Here is a link to an informational Guide to Influenza that was sent out to all Manchester families of children attending public schools. I encourage parents/guardians to be proactive by frequently reviewing and discussing with their children and families ways to prevent getting sick with the flu. If your child is sick, please follow the recommendations and contact your health care provider. Also, please consider what arrangements you would need in the event your child becomes ill.

The teachers and staff are promoting a healthy enviornment by encouraging good hand washing and hygiene behaviors. For updated information, please visit the websites at the Connecticut Flu Watch and the Town of Manchester. These addresses are listed on the attached information guide.

Let's stay healthy this school year.

Thank You for your attention,

Janis Vignati, RN
School Nurse
